For even the beginner fly fisher this Montana river provides a welcome invitation due to it's ease of access and wade fishing along with abundant insect hatches and low fishing pressure.

Dome Mountain Ranch also offers fully professionally guided floats on the upper stretches of the Yellowstone river with special permits for use on the Gallatin National Forest. Also available are walk and wade guided trips right in Yellowstone National Park.  All guided trips are performed by experienced outfitters and local guides who know the river extremely well and will provide you and your family and friends with a different & exclusive, personalized escape. Yellowstone National Park

We are located just 20 minutes north up Route 89 from the north entrance in Gardiner, MT. If you've never been to Yellowstone, consider taking a day to sightsee. For larger groups we can possibly arrange a guided tour of the Park. Bring your camera, as the wildlife photo opportunities are once-in-a-lifetime. Whitewater Rafting

Enjoy The scenic vistas of Yankee Jim Canyon when you plan a day away from fly fishing and do some whitewater rafting. Full and half day trips are available. There's plenty of action for all to enjoy, and you'll be in a great posiition to get some wonderful photography.

Horseback Trail Riding

Horses often come to mind when one thinks of a Montana style vacation. Here at Dome Mountain, guests are offered old cowboy style trail rides through some of the most spectacular scenery around. They may ride along the Yellowstone River, through mountain passes and across open meadows. One of our trail guides will offer interpretation and "horse sense". These rides are available on an hourly rate or a full days package which includes a picnic lunch. Trail rides are an excellent way to spend the day. Horses will allow guests to gain a much better view of wildlife as well as develop an appreciation for the real west. Our trail guides are friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you are a beginner, small child over 8 years old, or old cowboy yourself, we have a horse for you. Trail Rides operate through most of the year with the exception of the hunting season in late September through February.

Hiking

For those who like to hike, the 5000+ private acres and over 1 million acres of national forest lands offer many great day trips through beautiful scenery to spectacular vistas. Our staff can give you ideas on where to go and what to see. A variety of terrains are available for experienced hikers or beginning families.
